Veliko Tarnovo Weekend Getaway!

ESN Plovdiv would like to invite you to our trip to Veliko Tarnovo. If you are interested in signing up for this event please fill out the registration form by 15/04/18 and pay the deposit (30 LEVA) by 18/04/18

Veliko Tarnovo is the old Bulgarian capital and a city full of life, culture and a rich history! As one of the most interesting and beautiful places in Bulgaria, this trip will definitely be memorable for all going. We will be visiting:

• Shipka Commemorate Peak and National Monument
• Etura National Park
• The medieval Tsavarets Fortress and castle
• ‘Sound and Light’ show
• The beautiful Krushunki Waterfalls
• The Devetashka cave

Apart from these visits, a special party has also been organized for you on the night of the 5th!

Itinerary:
Saturday 05/05/2017
o 9:00 – Departure from Plovdiv
o 11:30 – Visiting the historical peak of Shipka National Monument
o 13:00-13:30– Departure for Etara Ethnographic Complex (with free time for lunch)
o 14:15 – Visiting Etara complex
o 15:30 – Departure for Veliko Tarnovo
o 17:00 – Arrive at Veliko Tarnovo, Free time till 22:00!
o 22:00 – Party organized by ESN Veliko Tarnovo!

Sunday 06/05/2017
o 10:00 – Meeting in front of hotels
o 11:00 – Visiting Tsavarets Fortress and old town of Tarnovo, with walking tour around the fortress
o 13:30 – Free time till 19:00
o 19:00 – Meeting in front of hotels
o 20:00 – Enigmatic ‘sound and light’ show – a unique night show with special effects projected on the fortress.
o 21:00 onwards – Free time! (last night in Veliko Tarnovo!)

Monday 07/05/2017
o 11:30-12:00 – Departure from Veliko Tarnovo
o 13:30 – Visit Krushuna waterfall
o 14:30 – Depart from Krushunki Vodopadi
o 15:00 – Exploring Devetashka Caves
o 16:00 – Depart for Plovdiv
o 19:00-19:30 – Arrive in Plovdiv
